A unique aspect to our approach for adoptive T cell therapy is the use of tumor specific CD4+ Th1 cells which may enhance anti-tumor efficacy. Adoptive T cell therapy strategies have largely focused on the infusion of tumor antigen specific cytotoxic T cells (CTL) which can directly kill tumor cells.

I agree with your post and am interested that it was worded in the way it was.

Adoptive T Cell Transfer

instead of

adoptive T cell therapy

Remember the MSK round table and I mentioned several times about hearing "transplants" and the moderator "we'll get to that"? I was thinking organ transpants;however, could it have been about T-cell transplants? I know this probably isn't the right terminology but once the T-cells are removed and manipulated won't they be "different" from the original biology of the patient?

My big question. Are the adoptive T-Cells, after manipulation, recognized as "self" or a "foreign body"? Kinda like mercenaries working in the body that may or may not be welcome. Phosphatidlyserine Targeting and Manipualtion may prep the landing zone for those mercenaries. The order of operations for this trial will be interesting. imho.
