- don't be foolish ... that patent is not fullproof ... the risk is that it may provide a false sense of security ...
- netflix has acknowleged in CC that if they pursued its defense in court, it would be long, tough, and costly ... even netflix prefers to keep it out of court for now ... it's mostly a potential "ace up its sleeve" that their keeping in their drawer ...
- netflix is gonna win or lose based on whether it can continue to succeed with their current business model ... this should be their focus ...
- the patent is sort of like a Plan B strategy should the competition (i.e., walmart.com) begin to gain/take significant market share from netflix ... hopefully, they can continue to execute Plan A and not have to resort to Plan B ...
