Well the names that have been raised by many close to the man suggest he's looking at people who are "pro patents" and pro constitution, something Obama wasn't. In fact, the GOP by nature is pro constitution and pro property rights - so much so they have a section in their platform devoted to IP and state it's a person right to be protected by the constitution

There are many large tech cos that are pro patent and anti google and care about ip rights and don't see NPE's the way Google does. Lumping all big tech cos and pharma for that matter into anti patent is an error in my view. Most actually care about IP, and are learning the hard way what a loss of ip rights can do to even them. Pharma in particular is very pro patent for obvious reasons.

A lot of great insight on the subject on a site called ipwatchdog - take a look there, worth the read.

Edit : here is a good link with multiple links embedded on the topic

Your post is either a liberal swipe at Trump or lacks a complete understanding of who Trump is...You just don't get it.

It's absolutely beyond me, given his cabinet picks, that anyone thinks that Trump is going to appoint anyone who doesn't represent mega corporations and wall street over the lowly patent holder.

Agreed, I had high hopes, but, should have known he be in it for his own pockets just like the rest.....Doesn't look like anyone nominated so far is a champion of patent reform...

Still holding out hope for the Supreme Court picks.

Another great article! In fact Trump Jr had the patents of a company he was involved with infringed on. The patent troll smear was used against that company and he commented in an op ed about it displaying an understanding of enforcing legitimate rights vs trolling.

So this (along with all the other articles shared today) should give all those who think it's absurd to think trump will be patent friendly, some pause- as everything I read seems to suggest he and those around him see patents as important propert rights that should be protected
