Avid is nothing special. A perfectly fine boring mfg. company except for the pphm overhead which is an anchor. Anyone with capital can reproduce avid. And the little issue of overdependentbeing on a couple of customers, a huge red flag, is conveniently omitted.
One thing I would add is that while attending AACR 2014 Steve Worsely told us that PPHM/Avid was angling towards producing molecules for small startups for free but attaing rights to the molecule. I wonder if anything is happening on that front.
