I do understand your assessment j5mith.
Unless we all see funding take place and some real progress from Freedom Motors (well, mostly the newly resurrected EcoRotary), I would not make a big deal out of any of the announcements so far. I am optimistic about it, but will the deal stick together a year from now? Two years from now? It's hard to say at this point.
I understand being cynical because of Moller's history, but having been working directly with Paul, Zack, and the rest of the Moller team for the last year and half I can say that they are not doing anything for the sake of appearances. They really are working hard to make the Moller Skycar successful, which is their ultimate goal.
But, I would also say that we should all judge their success by meaningful progress toward that goal this year. For Moller, that means getting the Neuera FAA certified and flying un-tethered. For Freedom Motors, they have to meet engine testing benchmarks and manufacturing equipment transfers established as part of the JV so they can start to receive the full $21 Million in licensing fees. Meeting these goals would go a *long* way toward placating investor concerns.
