Peg -- I never asserted there weren't things Clinton/her campaign could have done better that could have made the difference; she/her campaign of course, in particular with 20/20 hindsight, bear their own bit of the responsibility, the various and sundry responsibilities given all the elements and complexities involved in how things played out, for her loss -- for one thing, as you know, I thought all along that she really needed to pick Elizabeth Warren as her running mate, but instead she went with the total waste of space Kaine, who scarcely even existed in the campaign, let alone brought anything, at least anything positive or substantive, to it
within the current party ranks, possibly Warren, though, with some time on her now, she has become pretty well stuck as a bit of a one-note wonder -- a good note, but alone not sufficient; a coherent broader vision necessary, and she'd need to really work on getting it out there
I do like Franken -- but he'd have to come back out of his shell and, as with Warren, really get himself out there with a vision
my real wish, looking farther afield? -- almost certainly already too late for 2020 unless that were to be her first run for office (though hey, at this point, why the fuck not, I suppose; otherwise, past time for her to be planning her first run, I'd say for the U.S. Senate, relocating as needed) -- Maddow -- Rachel Maddow -- as a potential President, in my estimation she towers above any other with whom I'm at all familiar
except, perhaps, Neil deGrasse Tyson
