Here is the difference between you and me. I can see that MRK is oversold so I would try to short it at 57 or better. The stock is still a short although it will be volatile in here.
Incidentally, with public opinion and Congressional backing, consumers will have the upper hand over the drug companies for quite some time. Actually, I see what we are witnessing now as the very first stages of a sea change in the drug industry. The baby boomers will be leading the charge in demanding better deals. WSJ ran a story using the generic form of Prozac (flouroxatine 20mg) and found that locally you will pay about $200 for 100 pills, but you can send to Costco in Washington State and get the same drugs for $15. Absolutely amazing! People are too smart now to allow drug companies to get away with this nonsense any longer.
