Here is my take on those running programs - You can delete them but they come right back when you reboot unless you turn them off.
Explorer - Needed
Systray - Needed
Vshwin32 - Virus shield - McAfee - This has its own problems on MANY systems - more below
RealPlay - Real Player
Aim - AOL Instant Messenger
Stimon - Still image monitor - used for USB/scanners
The following I think are related to AOL - Do you use AOL?
If not your ISP may use them.
Rhaap - AOL/ISP
Msgloop - AOL/ISP
Msg32 - AOL.ISP
It is possible the following programs are not needed at all times - Stimon,Rhaap, Msgloop, AIM and MSG32
An excellent program to control these tasks can be found at www.greatissoft.com. The name of the program is regrun.exe, I believe they are up to version 2.9
What regrun can do is let you turn off the programs from running, but not actually delete them. When you boot up you can boot up very efficient and then if some task needs them they are still there. You can download a 30 days trial. I swear by this program, it is great. You set it up in options to give you traffic light for each task, green means run, red means delete and yellow means turn off. I change everything but Explorer and Systray (and virus) and then reboot. You should run a lot faster.
As for vshwin32 - It has been known to slow down many computers, you may either want to upgrade to the latest version or switch to Norton. I have been bitten by this one.
As for MFLM - they sure are converting CD's. You used to be able to count on these unscrupulous companies pumping their stock so they convert, now it seems they don't even bother, lol. I have been able to make money in the past taking advantage of their greed but its getting tougher!
