#193936 RE: Sentinel #193924

Sent,

There are many reasons that someone who talks to JF may not choose to post every detail of their conversation. First, take it at face value that it is "their conversation", and what they choose to share with us is up to them.

I understand your point, but pressing a fellow shareholder for information he may or may not wish to disclose will only result in an even more restricted information flow. This is simply because the shareholder involved in future conversations may choose not to disclose that he/she even had a conversation at all due to getting "hassled" about things he/she does not wish to discuss.

I was in the same boat when I came back from Franklin. Some things I simply chose not to talk about. In my case, much of it was that I did not feel it was my place to quote JF on some things without his express consent. First, there is always the danger that I misunderstood something he said. Second, when he chooses to make an "announcement to the masses" is entirely up to him. It's not my place to "steal his thunder".

Actually, in many ways, we all DO play by the same rules. You can talk to him too, and you can post that which you personally feel comfortable in disclosing. That information is a favor to all of us, not OWED to any of us by the poster. So maybe your question would be better asked to JF instead of a fellow shareholder. But please, thank your fellow shareholder for what he DOES tell you and leave it at that.
