Which part of I35 to the west do you like best? Are you talking about the Hill Country, north of San Antonio up to north of Austin and to the west? Some beautiful country there...lots of water with all the rivers and lakes.
Big Bend country is breath taking (can a MACHO guy say breath taking? LOL). I have a bunch of pics of Big Bend and West Texas. We used to go out to McDonald Observatory quite a bit. The mountains and canyons are something else. Darkest sky in the United States. I'd like to go out and stay at the Lajitas resort for a few days. Some fantastic hunting ...everything from Mule Deer, to Elk, Bear, Mountain Lions, Big Horn Sheep, Quail, as well as all the smaller critters and a few rattlers just for fun. <g>
The New England states are beautiful, especially in the Fall. I often thought if I was ever going to go after a Masters Degree, that I would like to go to a school up there. Then on weekends I could drive down to the Great State of New Jersey and supervise Ksquared's weekend chores...lawn work, painting, chopping firewood, and loading 40# sacks of whatever...LOL I make one hell of a supervisor. And I can even do it while drinking one of Ksquared's Ice Cold Bud's! Ksquared's gonna shoot me when she gets her gun!
