Joe,
I agree with what you said about some of the causes of the pps decline, and I think that many of the investors that read Mr. “T’s” news letter have become discouraged, since his predictions for NeoMedia did not happen the way he said it would. This gives more ammunition for the bashers on this thread to fire at us, and the company.
I was talking with Yellowjacket the other day, and he mentioned that a big player could possibly put in a large buy order in for a penny or so below the ask, and the MMs would move the ask down to fill the order. This got me thinking. Let me just run this scenario by you, and everyone else reading this thread.
Suppose the bashers on this thread are a group of shrewd/unscrupulous investors with a few million dollars that intend to manipulate this stock. For example, their target buy in price might be between 10, and 15 cents, and the price is at 25 cents. In order to get the price low enough to start the buy in, they bait the MMs by placing a number of orders for ½ a penny below the ask each day. Each order is something like 20k to 50k for a total of 200k/300k. The MMs move the price down a penny, and pick up stop loss orders, and what ever to help fill the 200k/300k orders. By the end of the day the pps moves back up to the level to fill the bashers orders. It looks like smart money moved in at the end of the day, and the pps is down ½ a penny. The next day they sell those shares creating a weak market day. They place the buy ½ a penny down again. The MMs see the weak market, and fill the order. They keep doing this until they reach their target price. In the meantime they come on threads like this, and try to increase the frustration, and discourage any ideas of further buying. When they reach the target price they place their large orders. Other buyers eventually see the pps rising on heavy volume indicating that the bottom has been made. Everyone starts buying including the day traders. The bashers go away for awhile. The price moves back up into the 25 cent range, and then the basher group starts selling. If there is not enough volume, and momentum the pps starts to fall again. Look at the fall of the pps over the last year or so, and see if this scenario fits the pattern.
PS. Joe/Ben I saw your show about the blackjack tournament on ESPN for the last two days. That was really interesting. I have been playing blackjack for many years, but I’ve never played in or watched a tournament before. The player’s strategies remind me of the high stakes poker tournaments also shown on ESPN.
Good luck to us all in this NEOM high stakes tournament!
