All of what you said certainly smells funny, doesn't it. The person doing the call, doesn't work for the company but knows the inside company info... and then talking to a "lawyer" and the "lawyer" is telling this person things about the company.
Can't see how any of that is actually a good thing, not to me. Again, if I had been on that call, I would have been running the other direction.
Also interesting coordination with the CC and the PR.
NAH, nothing smells here... all legit.. no doubt...
