I just received a call from Claire from Judge Sullivan's chambers. I explained that I was trying to shed some light on Judge Sullivan's statement in response to cotton's last two letters that "The court will take no action on these submissions at this time." I said that a lot of people were expecting there to be a ruling from Judge Sullivan due to the open-ended nature of that statement, despite the case being closed.
She told me that she is actually not permitted to comment on cases over the phone, and that the proper procedure is for me to send a letter to the judges's chambers. She said that even then, I might not get a response (the previous guy I spoke to said that judges tend to write what they write and not comment on it). Still, I'll send a letter, which I suppose will become part of the docket. I will post the letter and whatever response I receive here.
