There would be no Mission without gold at the 'end of the rainbow.'
'Mission' suggests god and/or people come first to service, yet the company's primary objective is gold acquisition. Once the gold acquisistion 'rule' is established, 'norms' to fit within this newly imposed map of rule are established and melded. Stating otherwise is simply misdirection (whatever the motivation). Service to gold first, and people, community, way of life, and/or god second, is no Mission Jesus would get behind.
