You didn't really address the question though. How do you hold a president truly accountable if as you insist he must always be treated with the utmost respect while in office? Was Bill Clinton treated with respect when he was held accountable and was propped up in front of TV cameras broadcasting globally a grand jury's questions about Clinton's sex life? True accountability is tough to pair with the respect you demand for the office of the president imo.
