As large, less nimble companies like CNQ and ECA tend to overshoot on trends, one could make an argument that this development could turn out bullish for the little companies who can more quickly take advantage of any changes in the ng/CBM environment, such as hurricanes or extended periods of hot or cold weather.
This is more likely to be true the longer your investing time horizon. As I have a 12-18 month horizon for my ng/CBM stocks, and have deliberately overweighted my holdings towards companies developing new fields, I'm staying in.
