He has not earned respect ... Respect is earned ... not just blindly given . This country was founded on division .. to not disagree is living in China where no public dissent is allowed .. we are not that kind of country .. although ... I'm thinking we are getting there ... I too am an American who cares .. that is why I so strongly disagree with him about everything ...

>>>Agree with him maybe not, but respect him and the office I do agree<<<

What you're saying is that a president earns his respect simply by getting elected and he shall be respected for 4 years with exactly no consideration given to performance? Nobody agrees with you on that since presidents from both parties have been impeached and disgraced with no consideration given to respect.

>>>So if in winning the Argument we destroy our country that a very hollow victory.<<<

What if you destroy the country by paying respect to a president by default when instead he should be held accountable for abuse of power, lies, corruption and treason? What do you think is more damaging to the country - showing disrespect for the president by holding him accountable or allowing such behavior to continue out of respect for him and his office until he has served out his term?

He'll have to give us something to respect first.

Would you respect the man who raped your mother?

Would you respect the man who butchered your child?

Bush has raped Democracy.

Bush has butchered American principles.

It's all a matter of giving respect where respect is due......
or where it is NOT due, as in Bushs's case!!

Bush has screwed up everything he's attempted to do in life,
and Daddy Bush has been there to bail him out of his failures....
but he can't do it now.

Everything Bush touches turns to sheit......
and this Presidency is no exception.

Expect the worst - - and you won't be disappointed!!

"...and we should respect Him...". A person EARNS respect - The Decider has NOT earned it. It's curious you chose to capitalize the word "Him".

While we have one President we also only have one country. Most people who seem to think along your lines seem to be saying "my country right or wrong." That certainly was the cry from the supporters of war during Vietnam and it appears from posters like you here. But what many don't realize is the quote is "my country right or wrong. When right stay the course, when wrong make it right."

It is a citizens duty to always be vigilant when looking at the actions of our government and if I look at our feckless leader I see a drunk and druggie until the age of 40, a person who has always relied on his father and fathers friends to support his lifestyle. He has never accomplished anything on his own and is the most uncurious President we have ever had (even less so than Raygun). I can't see how anyone would respect his decision making capabilities and what he has wrought for or country will be like an albatross around our necks for years to come.

It appears you have e very low threshold when giving people something they should earn.
