i've been invested in CPST for 7 years and this company is somehow always on the cusp of break even or profitability. at least thats the story they continue to sell us year after year.
this management team has been incompetent at best and has taken some pretty absurd liberties with their bloated compensation, but i never felt like the class action had any merit to it and honestly thought it was an orchestrated effort to hang a dark cloud over the stock.
every few quarters they have a new "headwind" to excuse their backsliding progress. they seem to be very reactive to negative events and economic changes, rather than being proactive and trying to anticipate some of these headwinds and adjust more rapidly. flattening the org structure is one example. if that was such an obvious move, why wasn't it made 5 years ago? why did it take a really dire cash position for them to consider that move? this stock feels like groundhog day.
