Let me try and do a better job at explaining so you can understand where I am coming from.
I live in NC and not since Reconstruction have the republicans controlled the State House, Senate and the Governor's office since this last election cycle.
This is what they have managed to accomplish.
HB2 the bathroom bill. It is indefensible and our own AG said he will not defend it. We have lost millions in state revenue and yet the state has agreed to spend $500K defending it and taking the money out of the rainy day fund.
Income taxes. They cut corporate and personal income taxes by $500M. To make up for the tax cut they cut education by the same amount. In short they stole from our son to give me money back as well as corporations. I did not need the tax break.
The environment. Duke Energy polluted the Dan River here by a spill of their coal ash spills. McCrory our governor an exDuke exec said we'll fine them $100K. Both the NC and US EPA said that was a joke and sued. McCrory is still fighting for Duke. And the Dan River it's now a cesspool.
Unemployment They reduced the weeks payable to 20 below the federal minimum of 26 weeks. Then they appealed to both US senators at the time and said please let the unemployed still have access to the federal extensions. Both senators told them no since the state had previously been advised no extension would be granted if they reduced the state weeks. But they weren't done. They also cut in half the weekly maximum payable. 300K people got screwed.,
Common Core and education They threw out common core and our teachers are so poorly paid even TX steals them from us. We can't even keep a Superintendent of schools here. I'm not sure you can imagine the hours my wife and I put in advocating for our son, teachers and the school system. It is a disgrace.
Gerrymandering. The city I live in was always split between the 6th and 12th district. I have always lived in the 12th district which was Mel Watt's district. I ended up in the 13th. Go figure it is a republican controlled district. The 12th was always since I lived here democratically controlled. Our primary was delayed until June and I ended up voting in a new district after over 20 years. Talk about a screw job? And the case is still under appeal at the SCOTUS. And the 6th district? He is a bible thumping exBaptist minster. I guess it could have been worse I could have ended up in Virginia Foxx's district. LMAO.
Abortion rights. Doctors are now required to send sonograms to the state Department of Health to insure that no abortion is done illegally. (Past the date of viability or what have you)

Every aspect my life has been screwed with which sadly is not the way I was raised or believe in. And at this point I'm looking at real estate in Ireland.
My point about Hillary is she can not blow it. The Republicans and that blowhard Trump are all over the FBI release today that no crime was committed.
I still don't know what the hell she was thinking. And as I said I apologize but this is now personal for me. I simply don't want to live in a country where Trump is president and controls both houses of Congress.
And Australia is out of the question since even my son suggested it. He was actually quite funny. He would rather live there with gun control and put up with the sharks etc.
