I had our clerk order me a Gateway E-6610 at work today. Reported ship date is 8/16/06. I've been eligible for an upgrade for the last two years, but kept putting off the upgrade hoping for an AMD Gateway Business Desktop SKU. Unforunately, AMD has never broke through the retail consumer SKU barrier and our Gateway rep. won't sell us a consumer SKU. So I finally caved in and went with a Core 2 Duo. I'll let you guys know when it comes in.
