The difference is that NVLS is an important tech leadership stock, so it has another huge source of support when things go bump in the night.

Today was remarkable, though, and reminded me very much of the aftermath of the KLAC earnings debacle last year.

Well something is not adding up on SOHU. It looks like they beat for this quarter but guide way off estimates for next quarter and when I look at yahoo I see the following:

Q3: EPS CONSENSUS = .23, SOHU GUIDANCE = .13 - .16 after an income tax charge so I'm not sure if it's comparable.

Q3: REV CONSENSUS = $22M, SOHU GUIDANCE = $20M - $21.3M

They did $19.3M and .19 EPS this quarter so that is a very small sequential increase in rev and a decrease in EPS. I would think this is a problem for a high flyer.
