By the time CDEX is mass producing the Illicit Drug Detector, I suspect the challenges with your eyesight will be hindsight.

Crow I had one eye done in January.saw an immediate improvement.Wore shades for a day in the sun. The second eye has a small cataract that they will keep an eye on.
My lady friend had two eyes done three weeks apart with little problem ,although one had a grainy feeling,after awhile, so they repeated it and is now fine.

I did years ago on both eyes. For a bit things are a bit blurry but in a week or so, sight much better. Matter of fact, I could drive without glasses at age 40 for the first time, still can. I had no pain, just that damn metal guard I had to wear for a week over the eye.
