Hi Tommy, there is really no comparison between USA and Venezuela regarding the food supply. that was probably a bad example I have choosen.

Venezuela was able to provide about 80% of their food inside the Country. they imported only very Little as the Country is a fantastic placed to crow everything.

all that was damaged by the starting so called socialisme in 1999, when Hugo chaez was elected. now one can truly say Venezuela is a dictature and the country is bancrupcy. so much to the "socialisme" there.

I agree with you that this will not be the case in USA and that in USA it could come to shortage of several goods, but not that dramatically. but it sure is not a bad idea to stock some important goods, which cannot get damaged over some months
