I don't see where it says that in the Q4 filing. Could just have easily been fees for "brand consulting" or "marketing" or something similar. Maybe they get a small cut of sales as a licensing fee for the brands, or maybe they sold some "Besado" t-shirts at a stand outside MetLife for all we know... It would be helpful if they filed an audit or more substantive financial statements.
After all, a year ago ISBG described itself as follows:
International Spirits Beverage Group is an authorized federal importer, licensee and marketer of alcoholic beverages.
But they stopped that, oddly after a number of problems with that statement were pointed out on here. Today they describe themselves as:
one of the fastest growing alcohol brand developers of in the industry.
They now say they "place ... brands into distribution," but that could just be as a middle man, helping "consult" on distribution for a fee, no?
They do still include this in their company description though:
Through our diverse professional skills and clarity of purpose and values, our objective is to reach an IPO (or Trade Sale) by 2015 to enable International Spirits and Beverage Group and its brands nationally recognition, brand value, and prominence.
They also thankfully kept the best part:
Organizational Values • Transparency in all dealings with shareholders
In any case, I don't see anywhere where they now claim to be selling booze, do you?
