This took a lot of thought, Colt.
Thanks!
Between your response and th's, I'm feeling a lot more confident that the hunt is the only good solution to this problem... I'm still worried at the thought of 10,000 hunters in this small an area. nj is not known for its wide open spaces.
There are also too many people in this area with too much money... i.e. I don't see the price of a license and the other accoutrements being a big deterrent to a determined yahoo.
I am in total agreement about Jersey's wild game management being defective... at best. We are over run with various species starting with humans... but that's another problem. I had two close calls with fawns yesterday. So cute. So dopey. Just transfixed by the world's wonders. Next thing you know...
SPLAT!
One of the reasons, I spend an hour drinking coffee before showering and then getting in the car. You must be alert while driving in the great garden state.
So thanks again for your input Colt. I printed out yours and th's so I can mull them over. In the meantime, I'll probably just keep my big mouth shut and listen.
What a concept! <ggg>
