I can only speak as someone who uses ILMN products. The lab we use for PGS (embryo screening) uses ILMN. The data is very compelling and more and more patients are screening embryos now as part of IVF. Still not covered by insurance usually which limits uptake, but there is a compelling economic argument to be made (increased single embryo tansfer success lower multiple rate etc) so i can see insurance starting to cover potentially (not to be confused w PGD for single gene abnormalities which has broader inssurance coverage). I also think NGS is likely to become soc for prenatal screening at some point (we use it quite often already)
i can't speak to competition, oncology, etc. so take it fwiw
