The Prime Minister did not escape ridicule from parliamentary colleagues. Labor’s defence spokesman David Feeney wrote: “Turnbull is using slogan ‘continuity with change’ because ‘dithering & do nothing’ bombed with focus groups.”

Shadow Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus wrote: “Turnbull’s laughable new three-word slogan (is) ‘continuity with change’. Veep did it first and didn’t pretend it was real, Prime Minister.”
