paid dividend is per share so it has to come out of the stock price
I don't think they handle them well , I also don't think they wanna, as the charts get whacked
I'm gonna pay closer attention next time to how the options are affected from one day to next , very important point for swings
We can adjust in stockcharts the charts (daly and higher) to ignore the divident adjustments which is one per quarter so four per year. It adds up to about $4 per year.
Now the big dilemma is what matters, a chart unadjusted or a chart adjusted. I noticed that the goons can play both. But I also noticed that the adjusted is more often important than unadjusted.
to have an adjusted chart in stockcharts put SPY
to have an unadjusted chart in stockcharts add underscore _SPY
The intraday charts are not offered this possibility, so I have to wait few days for the intraday charts to adjust on their own before I trust indicators and MAs etc.
The broker charts are offered with unadjusted charts so I can use that meanwhile for intraday TA, but they look buggy to me, probably because they use much less data.
