Market makers are just what the name says: They help make the market by providing liquidity.
The "AX" that you refer to is the most dominant at any time because they are getting the most orders. It is the traders who supply the orders and make your "AX", not the other way around. Your cause and effect is opposite of reality and the role of the market maker is not nearly as important as you let on.
