My only criterion is that our beliefs are supported by the Bible. And I have seen no where in Scripture where God has said that suffering is a result of a lack of faith.
I already answered your examples, which were not examples at all. If nothing else, they disproved your claims. Where, according to your theory, God should have shown judgment and caused great pain and suffering, He rather showed mercy and grace.
Our beliefs need to be grounded in the Bible. And when the Bible does not support our beliefs, it's time to rethink our beliefs.
