The big dig has been a nightmare since before it was begun. Way too large of a project not to tempt people to take advantage.
Projects like that need constant oversight, unannounced and from by different firms each time so there isn't a change of payoffs.
Totally ticks me off and I'm glad I don't go into the city often.

OT: If the Tiles fell from the ceiling, they did not hold obviously which would lead one back to the construction company who installed it or the engineer to designed it. The shame of the entire thing is that a life was lost.
