You've found a way to make earnings and valuations not matter, so you shouldn't waste your time with them.
I'd be surprised, though, if they didn't matter indirectly b/c alot of times research coming out of the IBs will impact market perceptions of a stock's relative over or under valuation weeks before earnings. Unless you knew the release schedule of the major research houses and what they were going to say, you could get stopped out of something simply based on what some analyst says in a report about upcoming earnings.
