eighthwonda, i'm glad you shared your connection to this story. i was wondering how many on this board had SCD or were connected to some who do, also have been curious how many posters are nigerian or connected through heritage. i'm truly sorry to hear of how many you have lost to this disease. i had no idea it was so often fatal.
