It's a PITA when you have somebody posting crap to you in PM's......I don't have the time or patience to deal with it. But I don't mind seeing their posts in public. Hence the question earlier.......to separate the 2 functions.

However there are some people who's posts I don't care to see in public either.......lol....SO another reason to separate the 2 functions.
