Without a doubt, it is already being done in Asia where they have been very gracious and have fully embraced this technology. I would have to confirm, but I believe they are using CDMA-1Xrt which is capable of something like 384Kbps. This is one of the newer variants amongst the steps up to some supposedly outrageous speeds. I am a little rusty at all of the exact particulars, but it is something like that...

Larry, Yes, it is Verizon's express network and that quote is the theoretical max. speed. Read the fine print, avg. is around 40-60kbps.
