Understand that many IHUBers are unemployed (another name for "trader") or retired and have little concern for tax issues. So taxation rarely comes up on these boards.

First question: What country do you pay taxes to? Second question: How does waiting a week or two change your tax situation?

In my case I ALWAYS dump my very rare losers in the final two or three months of the year. My losses are rare because I don't buy casino junk like NBG and I hold my blue chips for years.

Sell and buy back cheaper within 30 days and it's a wash sale! Do this many times like the banks have been doing!
