Report to detail how the company lost the $1B+
I think one of the problems, and why people are in such shock, is how can a company go from having hundreds of millions in assets to almost nothing.
There are several ways the money all flowed out or disappeared from the company.
I had thought about it in the past of detailing over several quarters how the company 'went down the drain'; i.e. detailing the losses, but thought it didn't matter since that was in 'another era' with gold prices at $1,600/oz; but I think it would be of some use, plus I think I could also show a proforma of what I expect NewCo ended up with. It may take several days but I should be able to finish it before Dec 24. I think that people will be shocked at what the company ended up as from where it started several quarters ago.
I think the main problem is that the company got every unlucky, especially with the whole decline in gold prices. If the company had bought everything when gold was $1,200/oz and then gold increased to $1,600/oz; everyone would have looked like a genius as the company would have been making all kinds of money. Instead the whole thing went wrong and the company went in the other direction.
