Oh, I looked back and see that... looks like large sauerkraut cans. My sis was always making such things, too. We once made life size nativity figures out of paper mache and mounted them on our roof for Christmas.

We made candle holders (Large medieval looking things) out of stacked jars of various sizes and shapes, then paper mache'd and painted. Quite cool.

Those took some work and great imagination. I've made some things over the years for holidays so my son could sell at school for fun raisers.
