When someone (especially a Texan) gives you a firm handshake and looks you straight in the eye it must mean they are completely on the level and as honest as the day is long, right? I mean a rogue or a crook would never think of doing that and you can always tell them because of their furtive looks and their handshakes are so limp.

If you use my rule of thumb, any day means in three to four weeks. No surprises there. Furthermore, this particular one is not surprising since nobody should give inside information to other people. Essentially, he told him it is coming soon.
