could be many reasons for the change...if i was trying to determine whether to either buy a company out or form a "partnership", i would really try to look under the hood and determine whether a partnership would even work or what parts are worth keeping and how to make it work... so having someone working on the inside could be a real benefit... and it may not have any significance....
