Troy,
I found a nice little place in Waco, Texas with waterbeds, furry bed coverings, and mirrors on all walls and the ceiling.
I was working up in the Poconos a few years ago. We were many miles from a good size town or city and the closest place to stay was a small motel that had previously been used as a whorehouse. It still had the ladies names over the doors. The "nameplates" were about 6"x12" plywood with the letters cut using a router and were in script. It was hilarious. I think I stayed in Doris' room. The mattresses were horrible. They must have been the original ones.
The only saving grace was that there was a small restaurant that was part of the motel that served excellent food. I got a 16OZ. New York Strip for like $9.95 with all of the trimmings, including baked potato and salad.
I have a picture of the place around here somewhere, if I can dig it up I'll try to post it.
I'll never forget that place.
Have fun,
Phil
