augie, you asked >I don't understand why some people insist on harping about valuation all the time in this particular forum.<
If everything was valued right, they'd be bored out of their minds and wouldn't be able to profit from volatility. The valuation talk is mostly a smoke screen.
You choose your words carefully. Good for you!! Unfortunately you should re-read the header my canine loving friend : )
Actually- the first sentence reads:
< Short term stock trading, Swing Trading, and sometimes even long term forecasts. >
So based on this- wouldnt harping about valuation be considered part of the long term equation? I would think so.. which is why I am one of the harpers who INSISTS on rehashing the age old discussion because unlike most others- I believe valuation IS important. As part of that longer term forcast of course : )
>>> I don't understand why some people insist on harping about valuation all the time in this particular forum. <<<
Augie, Who do you think provides most the data points to place on the charts that you T/A folks watch to buy from? I would say it probably is a bunch of those people that "harp" about valuation - the more pro-active trader.
Personally I would find it hard to just daytrade my various portfolios. I apprecite the picks offered that discuss fundamentals.
Not on this board? I find this board offers much for the mid to longer term trader. I think us traders offer much insight to this board. I don't think you would want just the Zeev's and the OJ's of the world.
