Very nicely and clearly put. That has been my MO when dealing with biotech values. I pick beforehand those "values" using my own filters and if the general mkt tanks, I average down.

It requires 2 conditions : a certain amount of intestinal fortitude to buy when everyone else sells and the ability to admit wrong and cutting losses.

…find some biotechs where you like the fundamentals on a risk/reward basis and buy them when everyone else is selling (or just ignoring the stock).

Exactly what I did with MNTA today.

What I've been doing is going to an all cash position.
From a stock standpoint, I'm betting on an ugly September.
