Yes, they are working on different methods, none of which will be more effective than what KBLB has (and Randy Lewis agrees with this), IMHO.
Therefore, why are they held in such high esteem? So far, they have nothing; KBLB has MS (which is currently in mass production), BR, and DS. Please tell me what Bolt, Amsilk, and Siber actually HAVE? ZERO.
