Uhh... no. We know that IBM and AMD are trading IP and working on joint manufacturing of sub-100nm technology. That alone gives each party something in return. This bull about IBM building a fab for AMD in addition to offering their expertise is ridiculous. If IBM is building a fab, then I'm sure the fine print says that AMD can use it for building microprocessors, as long as they give IBM a fee for each wafer, similar to the foundry model.
