Demetri5, MCIG Corp may benefit by owning 40ish% of VTCQ - but only if VTCQ an an investment asset. MCIG shareholders do NOT benefit unless VTCQ turns a significant POSITIVE net profit AND MCIG Corp sells VTCQ shares and declares a cash dividend to MCIG shareholders; which obviously may never come to fruition. The likelihood of that happening at this stage of the game is near zero because MCIG really has no cash in hand.
Invest in something and don't understand the fundamentals.
IF VCIG posts a lost, that lost goes against MCIG's books as a loss in affiliated subsidiary investment. Which flows through the P&L as a seperate line item, typically under operating expenses.
