ANY-pps sigh, still holding. Could be a great opportunity, company says they will report Aug 13 and they have stated they expect revenues to ramp 2nd half of year.

I do think some thought should be given this May PR: http://sphere3d.com/sphere-3d-signs-strategic-alliance-agreement-to-expand-digital-learning-in-public-schools/

Sphere 3D Signs Strategic Alliance Agreement to Expand Digital Learning in Public Schools

...an education service center in the southern United States supporting the digital learning needs of over one million public school students in their immediate region, and with the reach to provide their technology services throughout their entire state.

“Under the terms of this five-year education partner agreement, the education service center will provide schools with installation services for Sphere 3D's virtualization solutions”.

I have a pretty good idea what state this is and at this time they have close to 5M k-12.

View the above with this in mind: http://sphere3d.com/sphere-3d-offers-g-series-application-virtualization-appliance-for-education-market/

Sphere 3D Offers G-Series Application Virtualization Appliance for Education Market

Until now, hyperconverged offerings have been limited to generalized server and virtual desktop workloads. The G-Series appliance for education is specifically designed based on the success and feedback from early access customers in the K-12 marketplace where simple and cost effective solutions for workload delivery are a must in order to overcome challenges in delivering BYOD or one to one device deployments.

“Cross-platform Windows application delivery in a market that is rapidly adopting non Windows endpoints is very critical to support K-12 IT initiatives of personalized learning, digital education and online testing,” commented Nilesh Patel, vice president, Product Management and Marketing at Sphere 3D, adding, “Whether deploying Google Chromebooks as a one to one program, or embracing multiple devices running Android or iOS in a BYOD environment, schools can now deliver simple and secure access to Windows workloads and make digital learning easier and available to all.”

Also Glassware is rumored to be available on Azure any day at which time anyone will be able to test drive it. At any rate Glassware available on Azure is going to happen
not a maybe and it opens the market for GW immensely.

So ANY's GW product is now present in both the medical(Novarad)*** and now education verticals. Azure being it's own thing where both Sphere and Microsoft will be actively selling GW. MS quoted from June tour, "Sphere 3D can do what we cannot." Logic says this most likely refers to GW.

***Novarad's "Novaglass" is Sphere 3D Glassware, well documented, below is project due to produce revenue Q3:http://healthcare-executive-insight.advanceweb.com/News/Daily-News-Watch/Novaglass-Virtual-Workspaces-from-Novarad-takes-Aim-at-Enhancing-Clinical-Workflow-at-400-Healthcare-Facilities-and-Beyond.aspx

Novaglass Virtual Workspaces from Novarad takes Aim at Enhancing Clinical Workflow at 400 Healthcare Facilities and Beyond

Utah-based healthcare technology company Novarad is planning to provide workflow optimized virtualization from Sphere 3D Corp. to 400 healthcare facilities that currently use Novarad's award-winning healthcare software.

By updating these facilities with NovaGlass, healthcare practitioners can benefit from full virtualization capabilities including refreshed radiology workstations, enhanced clinical workflow and greater mobility.

"We have chosen to move customers to VDI for both desktops and applications with the realization that virtual desktops could provide better service for doctors, nurses and other healthcare practitioners," said Tim Law, president of Novarad. "Ultimately, an improved end-user computing experience results in better patient care, which aligns with our core values at Novarad."

Ok last thing link back for ANY SnapCLOUD review of Snapscale cloud interoperability Azure offering. Sphere through OL subsidiary has 300k Snapserver storage units shipped WW. New Sphere 3D SnapScale customer in Q2: http://sphere3d.com/lisa-scientific-research-institution-selects-sphere-3ds-snapscale-to-meet-rapid-data-growth-needs/

“The LISA scientific research institute’s experience with our SnapScale enterprise scale-out solution exemplifies how customers with rapid data growth achieve on-demand and granular scaling of capacity and performance without adding management complexity,” said Nilesh Patel, VP of Product Management and Marketing at Sphere 3D.
