Hi Dan: Despite differences we've had, I am pleased at your vision improvement. Gold means little compared to sight. Back in the late 60's and all thru the 70's I was, after reading Jim Dines and speaking with him, a gold "bug." Nobody, other than family and a few close friends listened to me. Most thought i was crazy; a few suggested I seek therapy. I see a possible repeat of the gold/silver parabolic move...just not yet.

Dan...

Congratulations on your successful cataract surgery - that is great news!!

As for the Chinese Yuan, I personally think the chances of the Chinese letting their currency to float freely on the currency exchanges is less than zero - why would they?? They have huge advantages now and the undervaluation of their currency along with cheap and plentiful labor is exactly what has allowed them to develop their economy so rapidly. With a continued high level of unemployment and potential for further development, I would be shocked if they voluntarily gave up their competitive advantage by allowing their currency to float or even to revalue it higher to any appreciable degree against the $USD unless the dollar drops significantly from current levels.

That would be like asking a beautiful and successful model to make herself ugly to level the playing field for all the other girls. Ain't gonna happen.

Best of luck, my friend, and congrats again on the eyes.
