Obviously you have not been following what has been going on for more than five years. They have been forced by their lenders to adopt austerity measures and that has taken money OUT of tbe economy. The key now is either get the lenders to agree to your terms or go your own way. No easy answers but if austerity is part of what lenders demand then go back to their own curency and suffer during the next few years but they will be stronger
