The more cautious you become holding anything causes you to be satisfied with the most immediate gain ... resulting in a sell.
This is a verrrry cutthroat game, so your competition (other traders) have to sell before you do ... and the timelines get shorter and shorter.
It also doesn't help that the stuff you trade has no longer term support from the stock buying public. So not only are you competing with other "minute traders" you are competing with MMs that have their own agenda too.
And that agenda is not usually in the interests of the shareholders ...
